Casa Grande mayor notes 150% increase in home-building permits at update breakfast

Enjoying breakfast with the mayor and other community and business leaders, a group from the Chamber of Commerce heard several community updates Monday.

Judee Jackson, a volunteer with Achieve Pinal, a committee of Pinal Alliance for Economic Growth, gave an update on an initiative that seeks to get students and young adults thinking about their careers long before they’ve graduated college.

The Achieve Pinal committee is working with local school districts, municipal governments and the business community to enhance education in the county. Jackson reported that recent partnerships with the Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology, Central Arizona College and local high school districts have a goal of educating students on future earnings potential in Pinal County.
