Financial consulting firm Deloitte inked an agreement with Gilbert promising to bring as many 2,500 jobs to a new 100,000-square-foot delivery center.
The Gilbert Town Council approved the development agreement Thursday, promising to pay as much as $3 million in exchange for the promised jobs. The center will go in Rivulon Commons, a newer development on Gilbert Road and Loop 202. It will open this summer in a temporary location until the permanent campus is built.
“We think that there’s a high talent pool for those 2,500 jobs,” Jonas McCormick, managing partner of Deloitte Phoenix, said. “Within the Phoenix metro marketplace, it’s an ideal location for us to do business.”
