The Arizona Republican Party has called on Rep. David Stringer, R-Prescott, to resign following his comments about immigrants in a speech earlier this week.
“In light of today’s reports detailing Representative David Stringer’s comments, I am calling on him to resign immediately,” Chairman Jonathan Lines said. “These words have no place in our party, or in our state.”
Daniel Scarpinato, Gov. Doug Ducey’s spokesman, said in a Twitter post that Ducey “agrees with Chairman Lines and supports this call from AZ GOP.”
