For years San Tan Valley residents have been asking for more restaurants, more shopping, maybe even a hotel. With over 100,000 people in our community it seemed like those were all things that would come soon, but we are left in the same situation we have always been in.
That could all be changing soon though if a proposed development by Fortis Development goes through.
Fortis has teamed up with Queen Creek XVIII to develop 107 acres of land near the intersection of Ironwood and Ocotillo. This site which currently is occupied by The Links at Queen Creek could soon hold a hotel, restaurants, multi-family housing, entertainment as well as an assisted living facility and green space.
