City and business leaders updated residents this week on plans to revitalize one of Surprise’s oldest neighborhoods.
Vice Mayor Ken Remley hosted representatives from Gorman & Company, Inc. at his District 4 monthly community meeting June 27 at Surprise Community Center, 15832 N. Hollyhock St.
Gorman is partnering with the Maricopa County Housing Authority to develop an affordable-housing complex, which is just one component of a major revitalization project announced for the city’s Heritage District at a meeting late last year (“Officials unveil project plans: partners, residents discuss revitalization efforts for Original Town Site,” Surprise Today, Dec. 6, 2017).
