Luxury homes that promise to reduce stress—for $4 million. “Upscale home buyers are… opting for interior design that incorporates nature to reduce stress and promote mental clarity.” Offerings include “private and communal spaces for meditation and yoga.” WSJ looks at this latest “trend in luxury real estate: The mindful mansion.” (Subscriber Content). http://bit.ly/2LPujcH

Here’s what buyers of new homes want. “Ashton Woods, a home builder in multiple markets [Arizona included], recently surveyed homeowners who plan to buy a new residence in the next 10 years to find out what they were looking for in a newly constructed home.” Builder has the survey highlights. http://bit.ly/2uWIB1B

Tortosa residents rip HOA for not providing services. “Some residents of Maricopa’s Tortosa community are not happy with their homeowners association and say the HOA has retaliated against them for complaints… Adding to the frustration is the fact that this neighborhood has one of the highest HOA fees in Maricopa…” Maricopa Monitor. http://bit.ly/2OqPdx8

Pinal farmers’ rep seeks solutions in face of water cuts. “Cuts to agriculture’s share of Central Arizona Project water will primarily affect Pinal County farmers and likely will take away half of their total water supply.”  Thursday, the “steering committee on the Arizona Drought Contingency Plan met for the first time” and “made it clear that one of its principal goals is to mitigate  the effect of the plan on agriculture.” PinalCentral. http://bit.ly/2Orld4m

Queen Creek ‘thankful’ interim manager approved for Johnson Utilities, mayor says. “The towns of Queen Creek and Florence had submitted an application to the Arizona Corporation Commission to serve as interim manager of Johnson Utilities.” The ACC went with EPCOR.
