The tax rate for Pinal County will continue its downward trend as property valuations go up.
The Pinal County Board of Supervisors set the primary property tax rate at $3.83 for the 2018-19 fiscal year. This brings the rate down from 2017-18 to the levels seen in 2016-17.
The Pinal County portion of total property taxes accounts for 26 cents on the dollar, down from 31 when compared to 2010-11.
Primary assessed valuation increased 5.2 percent from the last fiscal year, allowing the county to lower the rate without losing revenue.
