The Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championship is upping the stakes again this year, leveraging who may be the most famous player in the world to draw in more fans.
The annual event, heading into its eighth year, is set for Nov. 10-11 at Westworld of Scottsdale. Organizers are expanding the scope of the event with plans for more entertainment and auxiliary attractions to keep people occupied beyond the polo action, said event organizer Jason Rose, president of Scottsdale-based Rose+Moser+Allyn Public and Online Relations.
The biggest get for the championship this year is landing Nacho Figueras to play in the event. The Argentinian is ranked as one of the best polo players in the world and is also a globally known model for Ralph Lauren.
