Two Arizona cities among top in the nation for sustainable power

Cities are constantly growing. And with growth comes change — especially in terms of sustainability.

COMMERCIAL Cafe took a look at numerous locations across the country, ranking the top 40 most sustainably powered cities in America.

The company began by analyzing how each city draws its power, whether it be biomass, coal, gas, geothermal, hydro, nuclear, oil, solar or wind. The cities were also scored on their CO2 emissions.

Another category the ranking took into account was transportation and resource use. EV charging stations and bicycle and walking commuters were factored in.

Not one, but two Arizona cities made the cut.
