To accomplish their vision of a city that stands out as an elevated community with a high quality of life, Peoria planners have been rewriting their development standards, laying the groundwork for future projects distinctive in form, design and experience.
File this initiative under “What do you want your city to look like in the future?”
“As we plan for the growth of the city both with new developments and redevelopments, what are the planning standards, land use procedures and design review standards that come into play as we continue to develop?” stated City Manager Jeff Tyne.
With the city poised to see a slew of housing and commercial developments north of Beardsley Road in the coming years, that part of the city will directly feel the effects of modernized development standards.
