Glendale approves hundreds more homes around Westgate

Glendale approved hundreds more homes near its surging Sports and Entertainment District last month.

The marquee commercial area, which contains University of Phoenix Stadium, Gila River Arena, Westgate Entertainment District and Tanger Outlets, seems to constantly be adding attractions. The region’s more recent developments include TopGolf, which is scheduled to open this month, and an expansion of the Desert Diamond West Valley Casino.

Last year, Glendale approved the behemoth housing development StoneHaven, which will bring 1,365 homes across 395 acres to help provide workers and customers for the ever-expanding commercial area.
