Mort Fleischer’s cowboy ranches are a $50 million set. STORE Capital chairman and real estate “industry disrupter” Mort Fleischer “intends to change the way real estate is marketed by selling… ranches, in Scottsdale, Arizona and Lewiston, Montana in one deal.” Commenting on such a package deal, the 81-year-old Fleischer tells Forbes, “Once again everybody told me I was crazy…” http://bit.ly/2InamWy

$30M industrial project planned for Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. “Marwest Enterprises, LLC announced a joint venture for the four-phase planned development of The Landing at PMG, a new Class-A industrial project located on 20 acres adjacent to the Loop 202 and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway airport.” AZRE. http://bit.ly/2NI9n9g

Surprise P&Z advances box factory project; 3.7-acre facility will employ 60 workers. P&Z has given a unanimous thumbs up to “a site plan for the Seattle/Tacoma Box Company at Surprise Pointe project.” Located  south of Waddell and east of Litchfield Rd., the facility will “produce plastic corrugated boxes used to ship refrigerated food service products…” YourValley. http://bit.ly/2xIQCZb

Sedona council asks Marriott Residence Inn for staff housing units. The city desperately needs affordable housing; Marriott’s policy is no on-site employee housing. An exception was made in this case.
