Another housing development could be coming to the far northern part of Peoria.

The Peoria Planning and Zoning Commission recommended a project to city council to allow for the development of a 120-lot single-family residential community called Granite Hills near the future Dysart Road alignment and Ridgeline Road.

Planner Randy Proch said the proposed subdivision is located immediately south of Sonoran Place, a single-family subdivision currently under construction, and located west of Trilogy at Vistancia, an age-restricted community.

Peoria City Council will consider a request to rezone about 40 acres from Suburban Ranch to Granite Hills Planned Area Development Oct. 16.
