City Council members paved the way for two future developments Monday night.
Approval was given to amend the current planned-area developments of G-Diamond Ranch and Bella Vista Estates. Bella Vista currently is undeveloped, while G-Diamond has existing homes.
City Council members agreed to several changes to the G-Diamond Ranch neighborhood that had been proposed by former Planning and Zoning Commissioner Mike Henderson. Henderson, who resigned from the planning commission in order to be able to lobby the council to his cause, had requested the developers agree to place half of the sites for single-family homes on lots at a minimum width of 55 feet and the remaining at a minimum width of 70 feet.
