True North Studio, LLC, a commercial real estate development company located in Phoenix, announced a new project in collaboration with Choice Hotels International, Inc., one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors. The Cambria hotel in downtown Phoenix – Roosevelt Row Arts District has started construction and is set to open in late 2019. The award-winning Oxford Hotels & Resorts, LLC will manage the operations of the hotel, including the food and beverage venues.
True North Studio is the developer of the project and is working with Tempe-based architect DAVIS and Scottsdale-based general contractor UEB Builders. The lender is Lowe Enterprises out of Los Angeles. True North Studio is working with Artlink Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, on a formal call to artists to commission local, national and international artists to create exterior murals and an iconic sculptural shade structure to be placed outside the hotel entrance.
The seven-story, 127-room upscale hotel will feature a rooftop pool with cabanas and bar, boasting panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges, downtown skyline, and music festivals at Margaret T. Hance Park. Upon entering the Cambria hotel in downtown Phoenix – Roosevelt Row Arts District, guests and locals will be greeted by a welcoming lounge area that includes space for working, networking and hanging out. The ground floor café, restaurant, and rooftop amenities will be open to hotel guests and locals.
