Sen.-elect Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) said Wednesday that she would have considered voting for someone other than Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to lead the Democrats in the Senate if he drew a challenger.
“Had there been a challenger for minority leader, I would have considered new leadership and a fresh perspective,” Sinema said in a statement.
