ISM Raceway in Avondale is ready for its close-up.

The racetrack, formerly known as Phoenix International Raceway, has undergone a $178 million renovation in the past year. The Phoenix Business Journal got a sneak peak at the updates ahead of the raceway’s grand opening Nov. 9-11. That weekend, ISM will publicly debut its renovations for its fall NASCAR race, the Can-AM 500.

Enhancements were focused on improving fan experience, track officials said, including updated areas around the garages and pit row to allow fans to get up close and personal with their favorite drivers and cars.
