Shea Homes is first builder committed to project, other negotiations in the works

Storyrock Development Corp. is moving forward on a $125 million, 462-acre master-planned community surrounded by the McDowell Sonoran Preserve in north Scottsdale.

Plans call for building 443 homes in the community — called Storyrock — with Shea Homes under contract for 51 lots.

Shea officials said they have opened escrow and are performing due diligence.
