New housing data will not be available during government shutdown

Federal agencies that release new data reports – including HUD, the Commerce Department and the Census Bureau – will not provide updates during the government shutdown.

Thursday morning the Census Bureau was scheduled to release new home sales data, but a message on its website announced that “Due to a lapse in federal funding this website is not being updated.” Other agency websites posted similar messages.
