An approval for the final plat of a 54-lot residential subdivision in north Scottsdale, which is on the former Carefree Studios site, has been approved by Scottsdale City Council.

On Nov. 26, City Council approved on consent a request for the final plat of a new residential subdivision, coined Scottsdale Heights, on a 13.3-acre site at 7225 E. Dove Valley Road.

The approval took place at City Hall, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd.

Scottsdale Heights, at the southeast corner of east Dove Valley and north Scottsdale roads, along with the property directly to the east, previously contained the Carefree Studios that were built in the 1960s.
