Bellemont landowner Lonnie McCleve plans to develop his 11.34-acre parcel into a rural activity center including 99 new townhomes, various parks, a coffee shop and a multi-unit storage facility, pending a change of zoning from Coconino County, he revealed at a community meeting Tuesday night.
The land, a combination of three parcels directly to the east of the Days Inn hotel, is currently zoned Commercial Heavy. In order for the development to occur, the 8.02 acres set aside for the new neighborhood – named Shadow Mountain Village – must first be changed to Residential Multifamily.
