Uribe: Mayors’ support for port project ‘speaks volumes’

Agua Prieta Mayor Jesus Montano Durazo said this project is vital to this region in order to continue international cross-border commerce.

Douglas’ Mayor Robert Uribe encouraged collaboration among all the cities in Cochise County as plans progress toward the construction of a new commercial port and the revamping of the existing port of entry downtown.

Uribe welcomed other mayors from southern Cochise County as well as the mayor from Agua Prieta when he hosted the Regional Border Mayors Summit last Monday, Dec. 10 at the Gadsden Hotel.
