Arizona student housing complex boasts numerous sports amenities

The 384-unit building includes virtual skiing, a rooftop running track, and its own rock climbing wall

Student-housing amenity packages have long included private study rooms and local coffee shops as educational aids, but in Chicago-based developer CA Ventures and Boston-based architecture firm Shepley Bulfinch’s 2017 project Rise on Apache in Tempe, Ariz., the team also wanted to provide residents with ways to ease their school-related stress. From swimming and virtual skiing to running and climbing, students living here can engage in a multitude of sports, forms of exercise, and just plain fun.
