Anyone still trying to rent a home near a ballpark for spring training could strike out.

Spring training is boon for metro Phoenix’s short-term rental market.

Almost 26,000 homes, apartments, condominiums, RVs and bedrooms in the Valley are on Airbnb.

But only about 100 of those places are still available for the almost five-week baseball season starting on Feb. 21. And prices have jumped.
