A proposed $75 million condominium tower on the Phoenix Country Club parking lot in midtown Phoenix is set for a Feb. 20 Phoenix City Council vote, where representatives from both sides of the contentious development are expected to speak up.

While many high-powered business leaders support the 12-story project, a group of homeowners is vehemently opposed, saying “height is blight.”

If approved, Scottsdale-based Sunbelt Holdings Inc. will develop the 125-unit community, said John Graham, president and CEO of Sunbelt Holdings.
