Residents speak out against possible Pinal land sale

FLORENCE — Residents of Gold Canyon spoke against a potential land auction last week, but a Pinal County official says they were misinformed.

During the call to the public portion of the Pinal County Board of Supervisors meeting on Feb. 13, residents implored the county not to go forward with a plan to auction 7 acres of county-owned land in Gold Canyon. Residents said the land would be used to build a storage unit.

Supervisor Todd House, R-Apache Junction, who represents the area, said the whole issue is “a lot of misinformation.”
