It’s deadline time at the Arizona Capitol for lawmakers to submit their bills, several hundred of which will be dead on arrival. Here are examples of measures likely to be ignored by the speaker of the House and president of the Senate

HB 2012—Appropriations: Light, Rail Tombstone to Bisbee

HB 2333—Licensing requirements for operators of fast-food malt and shake makers

HB 2043—Regulations for adoption of pet buzzards

HB 2400—Establishing no-fly zones for non-Maricopa County legislators driving to and from the Capitol

HB 2205— Appropriations: House pickle ball court

SCR 1001—Resolution to Congress stating “Don’t screw with Arizona, you bozos.”

SB 2111—Defining what “is” is

SB 2335—Giving attorney general authority to prosecute killer bees

SB 2004—Legalizing use of bath salts for the bathtub

SB 2005—Creating ADS: Arizona’s own Daily Light Savings time: 19 minutes ahead of EST
