West Valley city officials offer updates during chamber event

City officials, local businesspeople and residents came out to Estrella Mountain Community College in Avondale on February 21 to speak about area growth at the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce Business and Breakfast event.

Food and drinks were served to the gathered group, as the city managers of Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park and Tolleson discussed working together and the developments each municipality has seen in the last year.

Growth was a major theme. Goodyear, for example, has seen tremendous expansion, but City Manager Julie Arendall said only around 11 percent of the area’s land has been developed. More is expected in the near future.
