Apache Greyhound Park could become an indoor and outdoor concert venue, a representative of its owner, Delaware North, and a local chamber official said recently.

The facility at 220 S. Delaware Drive in Apache Junction, which once hosted live dog racing, now has TVs for simulcast races from greyhound and thoroughbred tracks, a bar and facilities for a church.

The Apache Junction Focal Point and Tourism Committee held its monthly meeting at the facility Feb. 12 to hear about plans for its renovation.

“Apache Junction is a very special place for our company,” Aaron Feinberg, director of operations of Delaware North’s Phoenix facilities, said.
