RCSC Grand property renovation cost pegged at $6 million

Recreation Centers of Sun City officials will consider during its next meeting moving to the work stage for the Grand Avenue property.

The board will consider a motion to allocate $6 million to convert a former oriental buffet restaurant to another club facility in the corporation’s inventory. The consideration will be during the board’s next regular meeting, 9 a.m. Thursday, March 28 in the auditorium at Sundial Recreation Center, 14801 N. 103rd Ave.

To be called the Grand Recreation Center, 10415 W. Grand Ave., the property now includes the former restaurant, which will get exterior and interior renovations. An additional building is planned for construction on the site. The project will be paid for with preservation and improvement funds.
