The City of Scottsdale has taken the first steps towards possibly modifying its public outreach process for development projects following some outcry from residents who wanted more input into the Papago Plaza redevelopment.
Those residents ultimately convinced the city to require the developer to hold additional public outreach in what could be a model for developers moving forward.
Planning Commissioner Christian Serena started a conversation about modifying the process at the Commission’s regular meeting on March 13.
