Nikola Motor Co. buys land in Coolidge for factory to build zero-emission trucks. (Disclosure: Rose Law Group represents Saint Land Holdings.) It’s official! Nikola “has closed on roughly 400 acres of land” it purchased from Saint Land Holdings. The maker of “zero-emissions heavy trucks” will start cranking up production at the Coolidge facility in 2022 and will “eventually employ an estimated 2,000 people.” AZCentral. http://bit.ly/2JDSFpQ

Homebuilder makes top bid for Mesa land once set aside for regionalpark. Blandford Homes and Toll Brothers “volleyed bids during the live auction at Mesa Convention Center” on Thursday. Glen Lakes Golf Course in Glendale closes. “Glen Lakes Golf Course in Glendale [closed for] good on Sunday, after a tumultuous year between the city and residents who wanted to save the course. Neighbors, developers clash over planned bike resort near Saguaro National Park East. Plans for the “20-acre parcel” include “49 small cottages, a 34-foot high ‘Bike Barn,’ a 79-space parking lot, a restaurant, cafe, and a lighted outdoor public gathering area.” But neighbors aren’t too happy about the project, saying it “violates the intent of the zoning.” Arizona Daily Star.http://bit.ly/2HYnsLV
