With Costco in the works, here’s what could be next for Surprise

Does persistence really pay off? Maybe. Just ask Surprise residents.

They asked for an In-N-Out Burger in the city. One came. They wanted a Texas Roadhouse. Soon, they had one. How about a local brewery? State 48 opened.

Then came the city’s major victory: Costco is planning on coming to Surprise, after years of pleading.

So what’s next?

For restaurants, residents say they want a Dillon’s BBQ, Smash Burger and El Pollo Loco. For stores, they want a Hobby Lobby, JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts and Whole Foods.
