Capital One to open cafe in Scottsdale mall

Scottsdale Fashion Square landed a new tenant that is a coffee shop that also offers financial services.

Capital One Financial Corp. (NYSE: COF) is opening its first Capital One Cafe location in Arizona at the Scottsdale mall. It is scheduled to open in early 2020.

The concept, which has locations in 15 other major U.S. cities, will take over a 5,792-square-foot space next to the flagship Apple Store on the east end of the mall.

Capital One Cafes are where people can get help with their accounts and learn about new financial tools. The sites also offer free Wi-Fi as well as coffee and pastries. The company’s press release said the pastries will be from a local baker, but didn’t say whether or not there was a partnership yet.
