Tempe, Salt River Indian community to talk economic development, Phoenix Rising

The Tempe City Council will hold a joint meeting with the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community Tuesday evening to discuss economic development, potential improvements of the Loop 202 interchange at McClintock Road and continued development of Tempe Town Lake and along the Rio Salado.

The meeting will be held at Talking Stick Resort and will also include a discussion on Phoenix Rising FC soccer team. The team’s current stadium is on Salt River land. Phoenix Rising is looking to build a new stadium as part of a bid to join Major League Soccer.
