Glendale shuttered Glen Lakes Golf Course this spring and recently met with residents to discuss what comes next for the neighborhood.
Residents had pleaded to keep the city-owned golf course at 55th and Northern avenues, but the City Council voted in December to close it and sell at least part of the land for development.
Glendale officials met with approximately 140 residents Monday to share what might come next for the land and get their feedback.
“We’re not trying to change the character of the neighborhood significantly,” said Chris Anaradian, assistant city manager. “We’re not trying to leave something behind that would be a negative impact.”
