Eight-story apartment development proposed in Old Town Scottsdale

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

Development plans have been submitted in Scottsdale for a proposed 8-story, 199-unit apartment building in Old Town.

The Bishop Lane apartments are planned on a 1.5-acre lot at Bishop Lane and Second Street in downtown Scottsdale.

The Morgan Group — an apartment developer based in Denver — has submitted plans for the project which is near Scottsdale Road and Goldwater Boulevard.

The Old Town property is currently home to a vacant building, a surface parking lot and a building holding bikes, according to plans submitted to the city of Scottsdale.

The Bishop Lane development plans from Morgan Group and architecture firm Todd & Associates also call for steel and concrete construction instead of the wood construction used for smaller apartment projects.

Morgan Group is also the developer of the 472-unit Pearl Biltmore apartments at 24th Street and Highland Avenue in Phoenix.
