A proposed 104-acre mixed-used development is looking to take a step forward in Goodyear.

The Goodyear Planning Commission will conduct a hearing today on the planned Goodyear Civic Square at Estrella Falls development. It would be located on vacant land at 150th Drive and Virginia Avenue/Encanto Boulevard near McDowell Road.

Scottsdale-based Globe Land Investors wants to build apartments, office space and could include a new Goodyear City Hall, library and Civic Square Park at the project.

The Goodyear City Council approved a letter of intent with Globe earlier this year to try to forge the development deal.

Today, Planning Commission hearing will look proposed zoning changes for the land.
