The Arizona Supreme Court ruled in favor of a ballot measure Wednesday that seeks to cancel proposed extensions of Metro light rail in Phoenix.
In January, the Arizona chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America sued to keep the initiative off the ballot, saying that the group Building a Better Phoenix had collected signatures incorrectly and that the initiative language was imprecise.
Maricopa County Superior Court and the Arizona Court of Appeals both ruled against the contractors, as did the Supreme Court.
