Firm is buying up land with long-term development potential

SLM Land Holdings — a real estate investment firm led by Anita Verma-LallianEileen Jain Sahai and Smita Patil Mehta — has bought its second land parcel in the West Valley.

The group bought 121 acres near downtown Tonopah, south of Interstate 10, and have 12 investors included on the purchase, Verma-Lallian said. The purchase price was about $8,700 per acre for the parcel, which is near Interstate 10 and 411th Avenue. The group bought its first parcel, 120 acres near 339th Avenue and Interstate 10, in May.

Verma-Lallian has extensive experience in land investment through her family’s company, Vermaland, but the new venture is not affiliated with Vermaland. Sahai is an attorney, and Mehta is a physician.
