WalletHub released its annual list of the best-run cities in America, and one Arizona municipality made the cut.
Mesa scored a top spot on 2019’s Best- and Worst-Run Cities in America. The report, which WalletHub released Monday, ranked 150 U.S. cities by quality of service; total budget per capita; and their overall grades in financial stability, education, health, safety, economy, infrastructure and pollution.
Mesa, which ranked No. 19 overall, was the only Arizona city to secure a Top 20 spot. The city ranked No. 55 for quality of service and 22 for total budget per capita.
The study was not all good news for Mesa, which ranked as one of the worst cities in the U.S. for air pollution.
