Twitter users responded with mixed emotions — and a lot of questions — after Gov. Doug Ducey vowed on Twitter to withdraw state financial incentives recently promised to Nike.
Nike had struck a deal with Goodyear to bring a manufacturing plant with some 500 full-time jobs to the metro Phoenix suburb.
Ducey tweeted his decision after Nike canceled the release of a shoe that featured an early design of the American flag. The company pulled the shoe after former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick told them he and others found that version of the flag offensive, The Wall Street Journal reported.
