Aerospace firm landing new center in Mesa

CAVU Aerospace announced this morning it was locating a new $5 million, 80,000-square-foot facility in Mesa.

The Mesa center will be home to CAVU Component Repair (CCR), a new company created by CAVU.

CAVU will have as many as 75 workers at the facility which is located at The Landing at PMG. That development is north of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

CAVU specializes in aircraft disassembly and recycling. The aerospace company also has facilities in Stuttgart, Germany, Arkansas; Roswell, New Mexico; and Victorville, California.

The jobs at the new center are expected to have average salaries of $50,000 per year.  Mesa is also home to a large Boeing (NYSE: BA) footprint at Falcon Field.
