CenturyLink and the Communications Workers of America have reached a preliminary deal for a three-year contract extension for 8,000 workers represented by the union in 13 states including Arizona.
The agreement still needs to be ratified by rank and file CenturyLink workers. A formal vote has not be scheduled.
The deal raise union members wages by 3 percent the first year and 2.5 percent the next two years. The deal also preserves pension benefits and job security provisions and reduced health care costs, according to the union.
The extension would run through April 1, 2023. It also covers workers in Colorado, New Mexico and other Western and Plains states.
