The city of Chandler is looking at buying 33.9 acres of land next to Chandler Municipal Airport for $5.6 million.

The city wants to buy the parcel of land for expansion of the Airport Water Reclamation Facility at Queen Creek and McQueen road.

The city and landowner Sisson North LLC have been haggling over the purchase price. The current deal has Chandler buying the land for $3.78 per square foot or $5.6 million.

The Chandler City Council was briefed yesterday on the deal.
