Growing off-road truck company wants to expand in Mesa

A growing off-road truck company wants to grow its footprint in Mesa.

Addictive Desert Designs, which customizes off-road trucks, wants to build a new 20,000 square foot warehouse on Extension Road north of Broadway Road.

ADD already offices, fabrication, manufacturing and other operations at the same property. The company has grown from 50 employees in 2015 to 130 workers, according to documents filed with the city of Mesa. The company continues to grow and operates runs three shifts for workers 24 hours per day.

ADD and the property owner are asking the city of Mesa to approve a permits and development code changes at the 5.3-acre Extension Road property to allow for the new building and ADD’s expansion.

Mesa’s Board of Adjustment will hear the request at its meeting today.
