It’s not every day that the Coolidge City Council approves a construction bid for more than $7 million.
Luckily for them, the funding for the contract, which will completely tear up and rebuild the primary runaway at the Coolidge Municipal Airport, comes in the form of a grant awarded to the city of Coolidge by the Federal Aviation Administration.
U.S. Sen. Martha McSally, R-Arizona, praised the FAA’s decision to award the grant to Coolidge in a statement sent out on Friday.
