Gilbert to vote on new apartments at SanTan mall

The Gilbert Town Council will vote today on plans to bring a new apartment development to the SanTan Village mall.

Mall owner Macerich is asking Gilbert for zoning and land use changes to allow for apartments to be built on 7.61 acres on the north end of the SanTan mall property.

Vedura Residential would bring a multifamily development to the site at SanTan Village Parkway and Coronado Road.

The parcel is just north of the Macy’s store at the outdoor East Valley mall.
