Pinal County city and town managers gathered at the monthly Pinal Partnership breakfast to discuss the positives, and the challenges, their respective communities are dealing with.

Casa Grande City Manager Larry Rains broke down the city’s positives into three elements: economic development, quality of life and the downtown area.

Rains mentioned that Lucid Motors started moving dirt and has submitted plans for the first phase of construction.

“It’s a starter project so they’ve spent a fair amount of time generating the financing necessary to ultimately come to this point,” he said. “They submitted plans to the city Development Services Department last week and we promised them a quick turnaround on the plan review. I’m envisioning that there will be a more formal groundbreaking celebration in October or November.”
