It’s been a busy past 12 months for Waseem Hamadeh.

Hamadeh formed HOH Investment Group after spending seven years with Land Advisors Organization.

“We are officing with a bunch of great and well-known real estate investors with a lot of history in the Valley,” said Hamadeh, who is looking for new investment opportunities.

Hamadeh also got married in Beirut, Lebanon last August and his wife moved to Scottsdale from Tampa after the wedding.

We caught up with Hamadeh who outlined a recent busy day.

5:30/5:45 a.m.: Wake up and meet a friend and founder of SEG Engineering at Pinnacle Peak trail in North Scottsdale for a quick morning hike. Always an internal battle starting the hike, but the end and energy created is well worth it.

7:30 a.m.: Back home, get ready and say bye to my lovely wife Leena as we both start our day (no kids yet, just passed our 1 year of marriage mark)

9 a.m.: ULI Trends day committee meeting. Great group of people, I am honored to have been asked to be a part of the group, all dedicated to the success of ULI and ULI Trends on February 26th 2020, everyone in real estate needs to be there and should sponsor (since I’m also on the sponsorship committee, I’ll be calling you).

10:30 a.m.: Get to the office and make calls regarding the new project we just closed. 15.5 acres in North Scottsdale getting ready for zoning application submittal for 14 custom lots in a gated subdivision. Land Planning firm, Civil Engineering Firm, Land Use attorney and Neighborhood outreach firm are all doing a great job and making sure the community and the city are getting a great project while enhancing land and neighborhood value.

11:30 a.m.: Meet with a new associate that just got hired on with HOH to discuss prospective projects we are working on. Some infill sites in Tempe, Phoenix, and Scottsdale. Conference calls with owners we have met with and further dialogue regarding pricing expectations and LOI discussions.

12:30/1 p.m.: Lunch at Chop Shop at Shea and Tatum, next to the office.

1:30 p.m.: I drove to a remodel we are finishing up in Paradise Valley.  For the past 5 years, I have acquired, remodeled and rented single-family homes in Paradise Valley.  I had the Cardinals quarterback as a tenant, a Silicon Valley Investment Banker and his lovely family, who have been with me for 4 years now, software company owners, and other great caliber tenants that all become friends. I always meet with each prospective tenant individually. I am very hands-on with all the PV homes as I keep great quality people and create lasting friendships. The home we are finishing up this week is 5,527 sq. ft. in a gated subdivision of PV and tenants are moving in this weekend. Last final details coming together.

3 -5 p.m.:  Back in the office and getting caught up on the day. Returning calls, addressing emails, quick due diligence and scrubbing of new opportunities.

Waseem Hamadeh speaking at The Phoenix 2030 and Children in Need Foundation Awards Night held at Phoenix Country Club. / Waseem Hamadeh

5:30 p.m.: Head over to the Children in Need Foundation (CINF) board meeting. I am the President of CINF this year, which is the 501(c)3 arm of the Phoenix 20-30 Club. Last week was Awards Night and we granted out $115,000 to local children charities across the valley. I believe strongly in community involvement. We all could have been born in a different place and time, and some peoples circumstances are such that there is limited opportunity for vertical mobility. Underprivileged children are one of the most vulnerable groups and a little help goes a long way in shaping their lives for the better. Everyone reading this and everyone in our industry is privileged to be able to do what we do; the least we can do is sow some seeds back into our community for which we harvest so much.

7:30/8 p.m.: Back home to spend time with my wife, sit on the roof deck and catch up on both of our days.
